Overview
The Point72 Winter 2026 Equity Research Internship Training provides participants with direct exposure to the research process behind institutional investment decisions. Interns are introduced to the methods used by equity research analysts to assess public companies, evaluate industry trends, and support investment recommendations.
The program emphasizes practical skill development through real deliverables, professional feedback, and structured milestones designed to simulate the pace and expectations of a research team.

Responsibilities
Conduct deep-dive analysis on assigned public companies within a sector (Technology, Industrials, Consumer, or Healthcare)
Build three-statement operating models and valuation frameworks (DCF, comps, and sensitivity analysis) in Excel
Monitor key macro and industry trends impacting portfolio positions
Prepare concise research notes and contribute to investment pitch materials
Present findings during weekly roundtables with senior mentors
What We’re Looking For
We seek disciplined, intellectually curious individuals who thrive in analytical environments. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to break down complex data and communicate insights clearly.
Preferred qualifications:
Academic focus in finance, economics, accounting, or a related quantitative field
Proficiency in Excel and basic understanding of financial statements
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deliverables under deadlines
Familiarity with valuation concepts (EV/EBITDA, DCF, comparables) is advantageous
Demonstrated interest in capital markets and investment research
